THOMAS & FRIENDS ARM BANDS

The ACCC have contacted our company to inform us that The Thomas & Friends arm bands sold by UGames Australia do not comply with Mandatory Standard AS 1900-1991 Flotation Toys for Swimming Aids for Children.

In particular the standard requires the following words in block capitals not less than 6mm in height: WARNING USE ONLY UNDER COMPETENT SUPERVISION

It is the view of the ACCC that we have breached the Standard for the following reasons:
• The wordings above are not in block capitals
• The height of the lettering is not 6mm; and
• The order of the wordings is incorrect.

If you purchased this product before 1st December 2006, would you please cease selling this product immediately and contact Kristy Amato from our office on (02) 9997 2044 to arrange for a credit note.

We also suggest that the product be destroyed. We are currently rectifying this production error and all further Thomas & Friends Arm bands will conform to the required standard. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
