About UGames Australia

UGames Australia began in 1997, as a result of a shared vision between Bob Moog (founder of University Games in the United States) and myself. That vision was to see learning and educational games become an integral part of the Australian toy market; available to parents, wherever toys were sold.

At that stage, only highly promoted or licensed games found their way to the retailer's shelves. It had always been that way, but we wanted to change this and, so we did!

Change occurred, when KMart and TRU established instore game learning centres, promoting games that would encourage children's creativity and challenge general knowledge. Driven by titles such as Carmen Sandiego, Kids on Stage, Secret Squares and 20 Questions for Kids, the games market slowly changed.

During the next five years, UGames Australia established itself as an industry leader and then began the journey to expand into other toy segments.

UGames Australia is celebrating its 14th anniversary in Australia, supplying fun, learning toys to children. We proudly represent some of the world's largest, most creative and innovative companies in the toy industry. These companies include University Games, Creativity for Kids, The Poof-Slinky Company, The Learning Journey International, Smoby and Zoob. We also design games, puzzles and toys, and our marketing team are constantly sourcing new products from overseas and local suppliers that complement our overall corporate strategy.

We are working with several local inventors to produce games that will help our children grow up in a smart but creative environment. One particular product is - BRIGHT BUTTONS and now in 2010, CLEVER CREATURES and LITTLE EXPLORERS have been added to the set. These wonderful games help young minds grow, encouraging natural curiosity and lateral thinking!

We believe we have a social responsibility to ensure that our products are of the highest quality and adhere to local and international toy safety standards.
